Dubai to be home to new $1 Billion Hotel

Paramount Pictures the legendary big screen production company, joined forces with Damac Properties, the giant in real estate in a partnership to develop a five star $1 billion hotel in Dubai. The hotel is scheduled to open near the end of 2015 and will be called Damac Towers by Paramount.

The hotel will be based near the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and will feature four towers tow of which are a 540-unit Hotel & Residences by Paramount and a 1,400-unit Paramount-Damac Maison co-branded hotel and residences.

Part of the conglomerate Viacom, Paramount Pictures is a television and big screen production company that is 101 years old and responsible for films such as Titanic, The Godfather, Forrest Gump, Raiders of the Last Ark and Braveheart.

The managing director of Damac Properties, Ziad El Chaar said, the glamour, tradition and history of movies have indirectly transcended elements of ethos and design into this project.

Four towers will feature in the project that are tied together by a multi-level plaza that offers a number of themed drink and food establishments, with meeting and event facilities, fitness and wellness center, a screening room, swimming pool, retail establishments, kids club and merchandise from the Paramount brand and other partner brands.

Each of the four towers will be 820 feet high (250 meters). Three will be the Paramount-Damac Maison serviced hotel residences and one will be the Paramount Hotel and accompanying residences.
