Farhad Kazemi, the former manager of Sepahan FC, appointed as the new head coach of Isfahan based football club, Zob Ahan FC.
The chairman and team manager of Zob Ahan FC confirmed this news. “After firing Mr. Rasoul Korbekandi (the ex coach of Zob Ahan), the directors of club reviewed the proposal plan of Mr. Kazemi, then decided to appoint him as the new head coach of club.” The spokesman of Zob Ahan FC told reporters.
Farhad Kazemi managed Paykan FC in last season which promoted from Division 1 to Iran Pro League but the officials of Iran football federations didn’t allow him to coach in top league of Iran due to undisclosed reasons.
Kazemi is one of the most successful and famous coaches in Iran and he holds a fantastic fan base in Isfahan. He used to be the manager of Zob Ahan’s archrival, Sepahan FC during the 2002–03 season. In that time he made the Isfahan based club, first non-Tehran team to win Iran’s Pro League, The Persian Gulf Cup.
He started his coaching career as the coach assistant of Firouz Karimi in Pas. He then moved to Bahman and took the post on 1995. From that time, he has managed several Iranian clubs including Esteghlal Rasht, Pas, Aboomoslem, Sepahan, Paykan, Saba Battery, Mes Kerman, Steel Azin, Gostaresh Foolad and Sanati Kaveh.
