Ferydoon Zandi, the current player of Iranian club Esteghlal FC, is negotiating with Qatari side Al Ahli SC in order to sign with Doha based club.
Zandi didn’t attend Esteghlal’s training sessions during the recent two days and officials of the team have confirmed the rumors about him. “Ferydoon didn’t participate in trainings in the recent days and I have personally called him. It seems he is negotiating with a Qatari club and he wants to leave Esteghlal in mid season window. Amir Ghalenoei (head coach of Esteghlal) has talked with him and he is ready to allow Zandi to join another team.” said Mirshad Majedi, the team manager of Esteghlal.
Ferydoon Zandi is an Iranian-German professional footballer who joined Steel Azin in 2009 and stayed there for two seasons. After the relegation of Steel Azin he left the club and on August 2011 he joined to Esteghlal but he started season with an injury. On 22 October 2011, he made his debut for Esteghlal and made an assist against Zobhan. He won the Hazfi Cup in his first season.
There were some rumors linking Zandi to Qatari side Al Ahli SC before and after renewing his current contract with Esteghlal FC. Despite his great performance for Esteghlal in the last season he doesn’t have any stable position in squad.
