Jlloyd Samuel, the current player of Esteghlal FC, may join the other Tehran based club Persepolis FC.
The managers of giants, Esteghlal and Persepolis, recently held a meeting and talked about several topics. They have agreed on exchanging some players in order to cover their drawbacks. Accordingly Jlloyd Samuel might join Persepolis FC and Mohammad Ghazi or Karim Ansarifard may come to Esteghlal FC. These reports have yet to be confirmed by officials of Esteghlal and Persepolis.
The agent of Jlloyd Samuel had negotiated with Mohammad Royanian, the chairman of Persepolis, before starting the new season but Royanian rejected to transfer Samuel. Now Persepolis is hungry for a defensive midfielder and they may accept the offer made by their archrival Esteghlal FC. On the flipside, Esteghlal has many problems in its attacking line and they need a top level striker. So the club has targeted Mohammad Ghazi and Karim Ansarifard. Ali Fathollahzadeh, President of Esteghlal FC, was interested to bring Ansarifard and Ghazi to his club but he failed to sign with them.
Currently Mohammad Ghazi and Karim Ansarifard don’t have stable position in the squad of Persepolis FC. Manuel Jose, the Portuguese head coach of Persepolis FC, doesn’t believe in Ansarifard and he has been benched for most games in the new campaign while he was one of the top scorers during the last three seasons in Iran Pro League.
