Manuel Jose: These are the Worst Days of my Career

Manuel Jose, Portuguese head coach of Persepolis FC

“These are the worst days I have experienced during my career as football coach.” Said Manuel Jose, Portuguese head coach of Persepolis FC.

In the first 8 matches of new campaign, Persepolis FC has only collected 7 points out of 24. The team places 14th in Iran Pro League table. “We always create many goal chances in our matches but the forwards don’t have enough self-reliance to score goal. This is the main trouble we have in Persepolis FC.” Manuel Jose said. Karim Ansarifard is the most professional forward of this team, he was the top scorer of Iran’s league during the last three leagues. But has scored only one goal in the new campaign.

“Mental pressure on my players is another problem that we have. More than 16 players of the club have been changed for the new league so the team doesn’t have enough stability.” Manuel Jose added.

Fans and spectators are not happy with the results of Persepolis FC and most of them are disappointed. “They are right. In fact these are the hardest days of my career during the last 36 years. I am so ashamed of myself. We should not get upset and we will fight to recover ourselves.”

On 3 July 2012, Manuel Jose penned a one year contract with Persepolis FC.
