Mehdi Tartar, the former head coach of Gahar Zagros club, criticized Carlos Queiroz over inviting Ali Karimi for the game against South Korea. Iran is going to meet South Korea on the upcoming Tuesday in Tehran.
“Unfortunately our players lost three important points against Lebanon which annoyed people and the officials of Iran football federation. I hope they retaliate the lost points in the match against powerful South Korea.” Mehdi Tartar said. In the previous match Lebanon defeated Iran national football team for this first time in history.
“I believe the condition of our team for the next match is far different from what it was against Lebanon and Qatar. Players come to obtain all the three points in this game. I’m sure that Iranian spectators will come to Azadi stadium in order to support their team.” Mehdi Tartar added.
Tartar also talked about the situations of South Korea team in this match. “South Korea is a powerful team in Asia and playing against them is hard for every team in continent. I hope our players collect all the points in this game.”
“I think Iran had enough potential to beat Lebanon if Carlos Queiroz had invited younger players. Haghighi and Omid Ebrahimi are two young players with high capabilities for playing on international level. Luckily Mr. Queiroz has called them for the upcoming match.”
