Spokesman for Majlis Legal and Judicial Commission Mohammad Ali Esfanani said union between Iran’s conservative parties doesn’t mean introducing only one candidate for the upcoming presidential election to be held on the next Persian year.
“To be honest the unity between conservative parties doesn’t mean introducing only one nominee. According to the current conditions in society we can present more than one candidate for the election.” Ali Esfanani said.
“There is not any hindrance set for other parties and people who believe in Guardianship of the Islamic Jurists and Iran’s constitution. So everyone with every view can enter this election. Government must prepare the space to achieve this goal and intention.” Ali Esfanani continued. Iranian reformist parties trying to participate in this election too but they are waiting for official green light and allowance.
“Some politicians prefer hardliners to present only one candidate for the next election. But I believe this is not the perfect idea. The ultimate unity means introducing two or three nominees for the post and help the system grow better than past. Diversity between the presented candidates is must.” Ali Esfanani added.
