Sepp Blatter Promised to Visit Iran in Near Future

After receiving the invitation letter from Iran Football Federation President Ali Kafashian regarding Sepp Blatter’s visit to Iran, FIFA President promised to visit Tehran.

“Thank you for inviting me to visit Iran, Mr Kafashian.” Sepp Blatter responded to the letter sent by Iran Football Federation President. “I will definitely visit Iran in near future and its date will be announced after scheduling the trip. I’m trying to visit Tehran as soon as I can. I wish all the bests for your federation and national football teams.” Sepp Blatter’s letter read.

Previously Ali Kafashian invited Sepp Blatter to Iran to inaugurate the Goal Project which took place from June 1 to 7 in Iran National Team Camp.

Iranians have invited Sepp Blatter to their country for several times. Two years ago Blatter promised to travel Iran after finishing the FIFA World Cup 2010 but it seems there are some obstacles in his way to Iran. Brining Sepp Blatter to Tehran could be a notable progress for football in Iran.

According to FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, Iran is placed on 58th position above Austria. The country is also ranked 4th between Asian teams. Team Melli has appeared three times in FIFA World Cups.
