Shahab Gordan, the goalkeeper of Persepolis FC, praised his rival Nilson Corrêa Júnior. Gordan joined Persepolis for the new campaign but his poor performance in the first matches of Iran’s league sent him to bench.
Gordan has lost his position in Team Melli and Carlos Queiroz didn’t call him for the national duty.”During the last weeks in Iran Pro League, I didn’t have stable position in Persepolis’s squad. So Carlos Queiroz decided to not invite me for the upcoming game versus South Korea. I think the decision of Mr. Queiroz is normal and I have to accept it but it doesn’t mean my career in Iran national football team has been finished. I will pass double training sessions in the coming weeks and I will do my bests in order to restore my place in team.”
According to rumors Shahab Gordan will leave Persepolis FC in mid season transfer window but he refused the claims. “I deny all the rumors on this subject. I have contract with my beloved club until the end of season and I will definitely stay here. However currently I’m not satisfied with my place in Persepolis FC but I’m confident that the conditions will be changed in next weeks and I will restore my position.”
Shahab Gordan also praised Nilson by saying: “He is an experienced goalkeeper and there is not any problem between us here.”
