Telecommunication Company of Iran (TCI) has formally described its plans for the current Persian year. Base on this program, the company will add extra 6 million mobile lines to the national network. Hamrahe Avval, Irancell and Talia, three major mobile operators, will act the pivotal role in this plan.
The company which operates under the auspices of Iranian government, will also add one million lines to the cable network. Installing and selling 1.5 million data lines is among the major goals of TCI for this Persian year (started on 21 March).
In the last Persian year, 1390, Telecommunication Company of Iran and its subsidiaries added around 5.7 million lines to the network which was a remarkable success for the company.
“We are happy with the statistics but our main goal for this year is to expand the network in rural areas and we are going to concentrate more on the rural networks.” Davoud Zareian, head of the public relations office of the Telecommunication Company of Iran (TCI), said.
